Large Format Printing: common questions
What is large format printing used for?
Trade show graphics, retail and window displays, event banners, hoarding, wall murals and vehicle-scale graphics — anything where the print needs to be read from across a room or across a street.
Will outdoor prints fade?
Outdoor work uses UV-rated inks and laminates chosen for exposure. Any print exposed to full sun will change eventually; the point of specifying properly is that it holds its colour for the life you actually need.
What file format should I supply artwork in?
Vector artwork (PDF, AI or EPS) with outlined type is ideal because it scales without loss. High-resolution raster files can work depending on the finished size — send what you have and we will tell you whether it will hold up.
